Cross Kites Pro HYPE TR - 2-Line Traction Wing

The Cross Kites Pro Hype TR is a wing for discovering traction with bar control. It is based on the same platform as the Hype Play, but mounted on a 2-line bar with kite-killer safety system, giving it its own character and a much more pronounced trainer kite purpose.

Perfectly suited for use by a child or lightweight users, it is available in four sizes: 1.6, 1.9, 2.2, and 2.5. Each size has been individually designed rather than simply scaled from a single shape: the number of cells increases across the range, keeping small sizes light and responsive, while large sizes maintain clean wing shape even under heavier loads.

The bar makes piloting direct and immediate: turning it to one side shortens one line while the other lengthens, so the wing responds instantly to the input. This makes the Hype TR particularly intuitive for anyone discovering bar control.

The kite-killer system provides the essential safety layer for a trainer kite: releasing the bar tilts the wing to one side, neutralizing most of the traction while keeping the bar and wing connected to the pilot, useful if the force becomes uncomfortable, if something unexpected happens, or simply to stop the wing quickly. The bar itself has been redesigned, with ends offering more space for line wrapping and a kite-killer connection integrated directly into the bar end for cleaner assembly. Clear color coding (red always on the left) allows immediate identification of left and right.
