Cross Kites Pro IMPULSE TR - Traction Wing

The Impulse TR has joined the Cross Kites Pro range, succeeding the former PLKB brand, while retaining what made its reputation as a premium trainer kite and one of the brand's most popular models.

The Cross Kites Pro Impulse TR is a traction wing for learning bar control kiting. This robust trainer kite develops solid power that allows you to learn the basics of wing piloting independently. Its maneuverability and great stability make it an ideal traction wing for safe fun. It stays well where you place it in the wind window, flies efficiently toward the edge of the window but returns easily when you want more power. It also turns noticeably tighter than you'd expect for its size: even the largest, the 3.0 m², is controlled comfortably without large bar movements.

You will be able to learn to be lifted by your wing (training to perform water-starts in kitesurfing later) and to position it in all areas of the wind window. The wing maintains its shape even when moved quickly, remaining stable and predictable, forgiving enough for learning, but direct enough to respond clearly to the pilot's inputs.

Similarly, by combining the Cross Kites Pro Impulse with a mountainboard, you can make your first runs on land with a board. This will allow you to go further in your kitesurfing preparation by learning different angles (beam reach, close-hauled, broad reach, downwind, etc.) and beginning to carve with your mountainboard (upwind recovery).

The 3rd line enables finer control, facilitating wing launches and flips. It also ensures the safety and re-launch function: activating the safety makes the wing descend gently with very little residual traction, and this same line helps to lift it if it lands in the right position. The new bar features an enhanced and more robust "kite killer" safety system, with color coding along its entire length — red for the left line, black for the right line, blue for the safety line — to facilitate setup and untangling.

This new generation benefits from a redesigned aerodynamic profile, offering better performance in light wind and more dynamic flight. It also relaunches more easily after a crash, and goes beyond the edge of the wind window much less easily, for more predictable and reassuring control while learning.

It's the ideal wing for gently discovering the wind for kitesurfing and mountainboarding. It can even be used for your first runs in snowkiting. The school wing par excellence! Suitable for both children and adults.
