Skate trucks are generally reserved for use at landkite for maximum freestyle maneuverability and the lightest equipment. Skate trucks are also the default choice for smaller riders, making them easier to turn.

Channel trucks (with springs) are the most stable models, especially at high speeds. They should be reserved for downhill enthusiasts looking for controlled curves, or for those weighing over 80kg at landkite. Spring-loaded trucks are perfectly suited to speed practice at kite or simply for comfortable edging. For freestyle use, they are simply heavier.

While most models come with 12mm-diameter axles, 10mm-diameter trucks are reserved only for children or those weighing less than 60kg.
