General information on Powerkites

aile de powerkite, buggy et mountainboard

Tractionkite:

Derived from the kite and also known as a traction sail, traction kite, kite or powerkite wing, this is a wing made up of boxes that visually resembles a paraglider wing. The aim of powerkite is to take advantage of the power generated by the wind with a traction kite in order to be towed or to jump. The traction kite is connected to rider by lines 10 to 35 m long (20 m on average). The kite is controlled by a bar or handles attached to the lines. The size of a powerkite varies from 0.5 to 22 m2. The choice of size of the traction sail depends on the level and weight of the rider

Mountainboard:

This board is halfway between a snowboard and a skateboard. Developed for all-terrain use, mountainboard can be ridden with a traction kite or downhill. The components of the mountainboard include inflatable wheels, which enable the rider to evolve on sand or uneven terrain, and footstraps, which secure the rider and its mtb board

Buggy:

Also known as a kite tank, the buggy is a 3-wheeled machine that the rider, also known as the "chariste", controls with his or her feet. The buggy's engine is always a traction kite, providing sufficient power to propel the vehicle and its driver. The kite buggy is available in various forms, including race, speed, freeride and freestyle.
