For children, turn to 2-line traction kites. Available in small sizes (1.0 to 3.0m), these are safe kites designed for children of all sizes to learn to fly without fear.

Teens and young adults are more likely to opt for 3-line traction wings. The 3rd line offers a significant advantage for beginners, enabling them (in addition to real safety) to take off alone in any situation: essential when learning to tow without the help of a take-off assistant (thanks dads!).

The powerkite 4-line wings offer the finest piloting experience, and are available in sizes for adults (from about 2.0 to 6.0m²). The most versatile size for a medium-sized adult (approx. 75kgs) is the 4.0m², which covers the most sessions in medium wind conditions (12-25 knots).
