Bindings from major brands (MBS, Trampa, Kheo) are generally divided into 3 tightening modes:

- Velcro bindings: the simplest and least expensive. Big advantage: very strong.

- Ratchet fasteners: the most elaborate, for perfect tightening precision and easy, one-handed adjustment.

- Camlock fasteners: a system found at Trampa, with custom locking, but without ratchets. A mix between the precision of a ratchet and the strength of Velcro.
