Spots of powerkite in Languedoc-Roussillon

Languedoc-Roussillon is one of the regions in France with the strongest kite culture. Riders on every street corner, immense hard-sand beaches and, above all, a year-round tramontana wind. The vastness of the beaches and the quality of the terrain make for excellent land-basedkite spots.

However, the tramontana is often powerful and can be a real turn-off... Mountainboarding or buggy riding in 35 knots of wind is not for everyone. But fortunately, conditions are not always so extreme, and you can find "cooler" sessions.
